A unique piece from the Japanese designer Tokujin Yoshioka involving injection molding technologies. This innovative design experimented by the artist, offers us a rendering of incredible lightness and assured originality. For the first time, such a design is implemented on an industrial scale: a daring production, led by the editor Kartell known for its taste of the avant-garde.
Like lace, the shell of the armchair gives way to a refined and graphic double-mesh. This pattern with a 3D effect, and indeed, the piece plays with the solids and the voids of the structure. To accompany this notion of lightness, the Smatrik chair is composed of a very thin and delicate metal underframe.
Resistant and durable, this model fits in different universes and spaces : common area, lounge, restaurant… For a contemporary association, opt for a design table with atypical
shapes. Or maybe you prefer to set-off the modern aspect of the seat? Then mix and match with a rustic table for a striking end-effect!
