Riocentro, Rio de Janeiro
The only venue in Brazil that brings together show pavilions, a 4,000 + pax amphitheatre, a convention center, a 5-star hotel and other on-site facilities in the middle of tropical gardens, Riocentro can host any events of any sizes and shapes.
With 571,000 sqm of total area, the convention centre further improves the visitors’ experience with an Art Pavilion at the entrance, holding some of Latin America’s largest indoor street art exhibitions, and free artistic happenings and showcases.
One of the legacies of the Rio 2016 — which directly benefits Riocentro’s clients and visitors, is the Telecommunications Station providing data traffic security, quality and speedy connection, reducing the risk of downtimes. With the Telecommunications Station, events and sports competitions can be safely broadcasted live and simultaneously.
Because of its versatile structure and world-class management, Riocentro attracts the largest shows and conferences of Brazil and Latin America, such as LAAD Defense & Security; the International Book Fair, Rio Oil & Gas…. It has also staged some of the largest international sports and meeting events such as: Pan American Games 2007, the 2014 World Cup, the World Youth Day and the Olympics in 2016.
Rio de Janeiro Destination
As one of the most dynamic cultural, commercial, financial and administrative centre of South America, the city is the headquarters for large energy, retail, pharmaceutical, telecom and media businesses.
Attracting millions of visitors, Carioca Landscapes between the mountain and the sea became the first urban cultural landscape ever inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list. To its World Heritage, the Brazilian metropolis now adds yet another: architecture. Following an agreement signed between UNESCO and the International Union of Architects (UIA), Rio de Janeiro became the first World Capital of Architecture in 2020.
